HEnEx provides Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to interested Parties for connecting their Local IT Infrastructure to HEnEx's Trading Systems.
APIs provide access to the HEnEx ETSS for the Power Spot Markets, and to the HEnEx OASIS for the Derivatives Market, as an alternative way to our GUI applications: the ETSS WebTrader and the AthexTrader application. Through API, users can either submit, modify or cancel orders, receive confirmation messages and messages for the markets status, and other info using their Local IT Infrastructure.
Day-Ahead & Intraday Markets
The API allows the market participants to have access and manage the same data as through the ETSS trading applications provided by HEnEx.
More information about the procedure to acquire HEnEx ETSS API can be foundhere.
Admission Process
The admission process is completed in three standard and simplified steps.

HEnEx does not provide support to the company on parts of it’s Local IT Infrastructure not related with the ETSS API interaction, which remain a business solution of the company.
3rd Step
Request for the API User Credentials (Client ID & Client Secret).
Since you acquired the credentials, you shall contact HEnEx for setting-up a system test to the ETSS testing environment. The system tests cover all functionalities of the application and validate that the company's Local IT Infrastructure has no detrimental effect on ETSS.
Testing performance is monitored by HEnEx to detect bad behavior or non-compliance with ETSS API specifications.
Derivatives Market
Access to the Derivatives Market (OASIS Trading System) through API is provided to HEnEx Members from the Athens Exchange Group. The API integrates HEnEx’s Derivatives Market with members’ internal systems to facilitate easy trading, especially for market making and algorithmic trading.
The ATHEX Gateway is an in-house implementation of the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX) for accessing the OASIS Trading System and for order Routing through API. The ATHEX Gateway provides HEnEx's Members with the capability to develop their own applications and exploit the specific functionalities of OASIS for order routing and accessing market information. The ATHEX Gateway has the capability to communicate with the HEnEx's Members applications using two types of interfaces: the ODL API interface and the FIX protocol interface.
The pricing of the above service is made at the request of the interested party and the submission of a relevant offer.
