Companies wishing to trade at HEnEx Derivatives Market are admitted as Trading Members according to the terms of the Financial Energy Market Rulebook. Companies eligible to become Trading Members at HEnEx Derivatives Market are:
Credit Institutions or Investment Firms that have been duly licensed to execute orders on behalf of clients or trade for own account.
Any company engaged in energy-related activity.
ATHEXClear provides Central Counter Party clearing services for HEnEx Derivatives Markets. Direct Clearing Members or General Clearing Members participate in clearing according to ATHEXClear Clearing Rulebook conditions.

Traders Certification
Be certified as an Energy Trader.
Each Member, depending on its needs, must have a sufficient number of Certified Traders. Apply for the Energy Trading Certificate and follow the Certification Program.

Activation
Connect to HEnEx’s Derivatives Markets.
Submit all relevant information about the persons representing your company, request the creation of users in the HEnEx’s trading systems (only for certified traders) and activate your Trading Account.

Active Members – Amendments
1. Trading Members must promptly notify HEnEx as to any amendment to their status on the basis of which HEnEx granted its approval for the acquisition of the Trading Member capacity.
Fill-in the Member’s Detail Change form and provide the necessary documents as appropriate.

2. Trading Members operating as Non-Clearing Members and cooperate with a General Clearing Member (GCM) of ATHEXClear may request a change of GCM for the clearing of their transactions.
