Fundamental EU Legislation on Derivatives Market

 

 

• MiFID II Directive (Directive 2014/65/ EU) on markets in financial instruments and amending Directive 2002/92/EC and Directive 2011/61/EU, along with the respective delegated and implementing acts adopted by the European Commission.

• MiFIR Regulation (Regulation 600/2014/EU) on markets in financial instruments and amending Regulation (EU) No 648/2012

• MAD Directive (Directive 2014/57/EU) on criminal sanctions for market abuse (market abuse directive), laying down criminal sanctions for abuses including market manipulation, insider dealing and unlawful disclosure of inside information, along with the respective delegated and implementing acts adopted by the European Commission.

• MAR Regulation (Regulation 596/2014/EU) on market abuse (market abuse regulation) and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC, along with the respective delegated and implementing acts adopted by the European Commission.

• EMIR Regulation (Regulation 648/2012/EU) n OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories, along with the respective delegated and implementing acts adopted by the European Commission.
